PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve passenger service by predicting occurrence of irregularity of railway in accordance with existence of abnormality of an auger torque value of a boring advancing machine to advance and element while drilling the ground under a roadway. SOLUTION: An auger torque value of a boring advancing machine 1 to propel an element 3 while drilling the ground under a roadway is measured by a detector, and its measured value is displayed on a display meter 5. Thereafter, occurrence of irregularities of a railway 4 due to existence of an obstacle is predicted in accordance with existence of abnormality of the auger torque value. In the meantime, it is desirable to stop movement of the boring advancing machine at the time when the auger torque value from the detector is taken in a value control device and the auger torque values shows abnormality. Consequently, it is possible to carry out at daytime construction which is conventionally carried out by nighttime line closed work, to carry out construction with no show speed or by increasing slow speed and to improve passenger service.
